1). For start, make sure you have spare batteries,

memory cards and tripod, check your camera before you leave.

2). Look for the natural light.
Learn the functions of your camera and adjust it according to the conditions of the site.
Especially: White balance, red eye reduction, flash setting, etc´ . . .

3). After your shot your photo, look at it and see if you achieved what you wanted.

4). Look around you and make yourself clear what is your subject.
For example: a river, a road − can be a great guide line for the main subject

with great space to focus.

5). Use the scenery around as a frame.

6). Get the photos of the local people, also with close up.
Don´t be afraid to get close and fill your picture with people around.
Example: If you taking a photo of a person
− do not put his head in the centre of the photo.

7). Make sure to crop elements that you are not interested in.

8). Take the picture from different angles: directly ahead of you,
above it / under it (if possible), from the sides.

9). Play with lightning functions in your camera.
Take also some of the photos in black and white.

10). Resolution:
Understand what for do I need high resolution?
Am I going to print the pictures?
Which size?

11). Night pictures:
Make sure to use a tripod.
We are humans, we are moving even if we think we are not.
Try to use the natural light without flash.
When you have to use flash:
As well as having your camera set to night scene, try to get far away from your subject and zoom in
by doing that you will try to get the subject as clear as possible.

Thank you,
Amir
